Basement
Many new fabrics have been added to the Bargain
Basement at $5.00 per yard. Check them out in store
or online
Project Linus Annual Make A Blanket Day
This annual event will be held on February 20th from
8:30am to 4:00pm at the Delta Community
Presbyterian Church located at 1900 Willow Lake
Road, Discovery Bay. This is a day that chapters from
all over the country gather together in their own
communities and make blankets all day. Please bring
your own sewing machine and supplies, cutting mats,
rotary cutters, scissors, crochet hooks and something
to work on. There will be quilt kits available to sew
into a simple quilt top. Children 12 and older are most
welcome to attend. There will be several items that
will be raffled off so bring some extra money to
participate.
Winter Class Schedule
The new class schedule for the winter quarter is now

Winter Class Updates
A new class has been added to the February
schedule: Origami Tree with Mary Jane Krantzman on
Monday, February 15th from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Use
folded fabric to make this wonderful dimensional tree.
Consider using traditional holiday colors, or use other
colors to represent other celebrations. Cost $30.00
A Dear Jane meeting has been added on Sunday,
February 21st from 11:00am to 3:00pm. The Dear
Jane Quilt based on a quilt from the Civil War. The
technique uses modern methods to make this famous
quilt. The group meets monthly to work on their quilts.

The Block of the Month 2010 meeting for February has
been changed from Saturday, 2/6 to Saturday, 2/13.
Class will meet from 9:00am to 2:00pm for this month
to work on cutting all materials.
New Fabric Arrivals!
The Vincent Van Gough fabric from Exclusively Quilters
his work has been restocked. Many people have been
waiting for this extremely popular fabric.
We have also received the line of Elephant fabric and
Whitetail Deer fabric also from Exclusively Quilters.
There are several beautiful panels with coordinating
nature fabrics.
Other new fabrics that have arrived recently include:
Heather Bailey's Nicey Jane from Free Spirit is a new
spring line with pastel colors in pink and blue; and
Safari So Good from P&B is a cute line of whimsical
jungle animals.

March Madness Shop Hop
The March Madness Shop Hop for 2010 runs for two
weeks this year from Thursday, March 4th through
Sunday, March 7th AND from Thursday, March 11th
through Sunday, March 14th. More details coming
soon.

Charity Quilts:
We are working on charity quilts for Kaleidoscope in Byron. We'll
be making simple blocks for lap quilts. Fabrics and blocks are
available at the store. Donations of fabric are greatly
appreciated. Everyone is welcome. We can use help with cutting
fabric, sewing the blocks, and quilting the tops. The plan is that
we'll stitch in the ditch as much as possible to complete the quilts.
The group usually meets on the first Wednesday of each month
(unless there is a holiday conflict) from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Upcoming Dates: January 6, February 3, March 3
