Dear Quilting Friends,
It’s hard to believe that Sew Ewe Quilt will celebrate its seventh anniversary this year. The time
has gone by so fast. The sale dates for this year will be the week of Monday September 13th
through Saturday September 18th. Regular store hours will be in effect for the sale. Details of
the sale are at the end of this newsletter. Details can also be seen on the store’s website at www.
sewewequilt.com.
The new fall schedule for September through December is now available on the website at http:
//www.sewewequilt.com/classes.html or you can pick up a hard copy at the store. Since the
holidays are just around the corner, we have planned classes that are easy and fun to do for
quick holiday gifts and decorating. One class is learning to use your sewing machine ruffler to
decorate linens and clothing. Mary Jane Krantzman returns in mid November and will teach a
couple of new classes in December. Come in and see the store samples for each class. Watch
the web site for any new classes that might be added during the schedule.
Some new fabric arrivals are Stonehenge from Northcott, Wiskerville from Blank (cute cats),
Dragonfly Magic from Blank (Oriental), and When Dreams Flower by Jenny Haskins from Windham,
and several lines of batiks will be available the end of September.
I want to thank everyone who dropped off donations for the Ovarian Coalition sale. Also, many
thanks to the Sew Ewe Quilt quilters and The Guild of Contra Costa County for making
pillowcases and quilts for Kaleidoscope in Byron. They are greatly appreciated by the people who
receive support from Kaleidoscope.
The Delta Quilters Quilt Show will be October 23rd and 24th at the Contra Costa County
Fairgrounds in Antioch. This year’s featured artist is John Linn. There will be quilts on display,
vendors, free demonstrations, country store, and refreshments. Sew Ewe Quilt will have a booth,
please come by and say hello. The show hours are Saturday 10:00am – 5:00pm and Sunday 10:
00am - 4:00pm. Admission is $7.00 and parking is free.
The Jingle Bell Shop Hop for 2010 will be Thursday November 18th through Sunday November
21st. Join thirteen shops in Northern California for four days of holiday shopping and a chance to
win a shopping spree. Shop Hop hours are Thursday through Saturday 9:00am - 6:00pm and
Sunday 10:00am – 4:00pm.
Please note that the store will be closed Thanksgiving Day November 25th, Christmas Day
December 25th, and New Years Day January 1st. The store will close at 2:pm on Wednesday
November 24th and December 24th.
The annual Year End Blow Out Sale will be Sunday December 26th through Friday December
31st. Regular store hours will be in effect. Mark your calendar this is the biggest sale of the year.
