Quilting Friends:
Here it is spring again. Our spring class schedule is included in this newsletter. There are many fun classes so
come in and sign up. The spring and summer fabrics are arriving daily. Come in and check out the new fabrics
and quilts for this quarter‘s classes.
There are still 2 openings in the Ruth McDowell Seminar. The dates are Saturday, August 9th through
Wednesday, August 13th. Contact Nancy for registration.
The March Madness Shop Hop was a tremendous success. Everyone had a great time and we met many new
quilters from all the participating shops. The kit for Sew Ewe Quilt is available for anyone who would like to
get this block.
The 2008 Block of The Month, The Many Designs of Friendship, began on March 1st. This Block of the Month is
a medallion quilt, so we are making the quilt from the inside out. The instructions for the quilt have been
updated to make it easier to complete the quilt. Check the website for the fabrics and picture of the quilt.
There is still time to participate in this program. Contact Nancy for information.
Antique Christmas Memories is our second Block of the Month program. The fabric kits for the fist set of blocks
are available if you haven’t picked up your kit. The second kit for the quilt will be available on March 14th.
The last kit will be available towards the end of April. There are four extra kits if anyone is interested in
completing a Christmas quilt. This Block of the Month program is a little bit different since you will be working
on your own at your own pace. If you have any questions, come in and we will be glad to help.
When you’re at the store, please be sure and check that your information in the computer is correct. Please
notify the store about any contact information changes.
Our store hours are: Monday 10:00 – 5:30, Tuesday 10:00 – 8:30, Wednesday through Friday 10:00 – 5:30,
and Saturday 10:00 - 5:00. As a reminder, everyone is welcome to join us Tuesday evenings for open sewing
from 6:00pm - 8:30pm. Just bring your current project and have fun!

Ruth B McDowell Coming Next Summer:
Internationally acclaimed quilt artist, Ruth B McDowell, is a sheer genius at quilt design. Her pieced pictorial
and landscape art quilts have taken the art quilt to new heights. Ruth has added teaching to her busy textile
career, and now the quilters of the East Bay have the extraordinary opportunity to learn from the artist
herself right here at Sew Ewe Quilt. The dates are Saturday August 9th through Wednesday August 13th,
2008. Internationally acclaimed quilt artist, Ruth B McDowell, is a sheer genius at quilt design. If you are
interested in the workshop and can't pay the full amount for the registration in two payments please contact
me. We are willing to work with you and make arrangements for payment with the final fees paid in full by
