Quilting Friends,
The holidays are fast approaching and it’s time to start thinking about Christmas gifts. Our Holiday Fabrics are
arriving daily and will be on the shelves by July 14th. We will have a Christmas in July Sale the week of July
23rd thru July 28th. All Christmas, Fall, and Halloween fabrics will be on sale. Classes for holiday projects will
begin in October.
We will be sponsoring a Holiday Panel Fabric Challenge using Halloween and Christmas panels. Using your
imagination and fabric panels, design and sew a quilt, purse, wall hanging, clothing item, or anything else you
can dream up. Prizes will be awarded: First Place - $25 Sew Ewe Quilt gift certificate, Second Place - $15 Sew
Ewe Quilt gift certificate. Entries must be submitted by the end of September. 80% of the fabric used must be
from the store. Register when you buy your fabrics. Entries will be voted on by customers during October.
Winners will be announced on October 27th.
If you plan to have your long arm quilting done by Kathy Viera in time for Christmas, she has asked that you
have your items to her by the beginning of September as there is approximately a three month waiting time
for returned quilts.
Our fourth anniversary sale will be in September. The dates will be announced soon. An E-mail and post card
will be sent out notifying everyone of the sale. The four years have gone by quickly as it seems like yesterday
that the store opened.
Soon, you will be able to order kits and fabric on the web. Watch for the announcement.
When you’re at the store, please be sure and check that your information in the computer is correct. Please
notify the store about any contact information changes.
Check out the new kits in the store. There are several whimsical pillow case kits including “California Happy
Cows”, cowboys, cowgirls, and pirates. The new quilt kit is Bamboo Dance by Clothworks. See the quilt on
the web site.
The class schedule for July, August, and September includes new classes and old favorites as well as our
most frequently requested classes. Review the list and come sign up for some summer fun. Class schedule

Our store hours are Monday, 10:00 – 5:30, Tuesday, 10:00 – 9:00, Wednesday – Friday, 10:00 – 5:30, and
Saturday 10:00 -5:00. As a reminder, everyone is welcome to join us Tuesday evenings for open sewing from
6:00 – 9:00. Just bring your current project and have fun!
