Quilting Friends, Happy Holidays.
Holiday Hours: The store will be closed Monday 12/24 and Tuesday 12/25. We will open on Wednesday
12/26 for the After Christmas Sale which will run thru Saturday 12/29. Watch the web site and store for sale
discounts. The store will be closed Monday 12/31 and Tuesday 01/01/08 for inventory. Normal store hours
will resume Wednesday 1/2.
Check out the winter schedule for new classes. We have added new classes and instructors. Come in and
see all the samples. Just a reminder about class registration. When you register for a class payment must be
a check made out to the instructor or cash. We can’t process the fees as charges as the instructors are
independent contractors.
The web site is up and running. Internet sales of kits will be starting soon. Check the web site for store
updates.
The third March Madness Shop Hop will be Wednesday March 5th thru Sunday March 9th. There are twenty
stores in the shop hop this year. The grand prize will be tuition to an Empty Spools Seminar valued at
$1100. Mark your calendar and set up carpools. Information is available at the store or on the website
www.quiltersmarchmadness.com.
This year there will be two block of the month programs. The first choice is Antique Christmas Memories which
is twelve applique blocks using Nancy Halvorson’s Christmas fabric. The cost will be approximately $150.00
for the fabric which includes all the borders. Contact Nancy for more information. The first three blocks will be
available in January. The second option is a pieced quilt, not a sampler. The fabric hasn’t been chosen yet.
There will be an informational meeting on Saturday March 1st at 10:00am. The block of the month will start
on the first Saturday of April.
The name has changed from The Bargain Basement to The Sale Room. The $5.00 a yard fabric will still be
available but there will be other reduced fabrics and items in the room. Discounts will be taken at the register.
There’s still room in the Ruth McDowell Seminar. The dates are Saturday August 9th thru Wednesday August
13th. Contact Nancy for any questions and registration.
When you’re at the store, please be sure and check that your information in the computer is correct. Please
notify the store about any contact information changes.
Our store hours are Monday, 10:00 – 5:30, Tuesday, 10:00 – 8:30, Wednesday – Friday, 10:00 – 5:30, and
Saturday 10:00 - 5:00. As a reminder, everyone is welcome to join us Tuesday evenings for open sewing
from 6:00-8:30. Just bring your current project and have fun!

Ruth B McDowell Coming Next Summer:
Internationally acclaimed quilt artist, Ruth B McDowell, is a sheer genius at quilt design. Her pieced pictorial
and landscape art quilts have taken the art quilt to new heights. Ruth has added teaching to her busy textile
career, and now the quilters of the East Bay have the extraordinary opportunity to learn from the artist
herself right here at Sew Ewe Quilt. The dates are Saturday August 9th through Wednesday August 13th,
2008. Internationally acclaimed quilt artist, Ruth B McDowell, is a sheer genius at quilt design. If you are
interested in the workshop and can't pay the full amount for the registration in two payments please contact
me. We are willing to work with you and make arrangements for payment with the final fees paid in full by
